If you only read one paragraph
For a complete boxed package with a daily schedule already built: BookShark (secular), Sonlight (Christian), or Memoria Press Classical Core Curriculum (classical). For scripted single-subject work: The Good and the Beautiful (language arts) and Master Books (science and history). For math that needs almost no parent involvement: Saxon (scripted lessons) or Teaching Textbooks (self-grading).

Open-and-go describes curriculum written so the parent can teach from the page with little advance preparation. The two design patterns are the boxed package (a publisher assembles all subjects, sequences them, and supplies a day-by-day schedule) and the scripted single-subject program (lesson plans tell the parent exactly what to say and do). Both reduce planning load; both cost more in money than a self-assembled stack costs, because the planning work is done for you. The picks below are the programs most commonly named in the homeschool community when families ask for the lowest-prep option, organized by whether you want a full package or a single subject.
Complete boxed packages
Secular literature-based all-in-one with a four-day or five-day scheduled instructor guide. Books and schedule ship together.
Christian literature-based package with a scripted instructor guide and shipped book box. The reference open-and-go package.
Classical boxed curriculum with detailed lesson plans and recitation scripts. Christian-ecumenical; print plus video options.
Language Arts (scripted)
Open-and-go scripted language arts with the lesson text printed for the parent to read directly. LDS-founded; see the publisher page for worldview detail.
Science & History (scripted)
Scripted young-earth science and history with a built-in schedule; minimal parent prep.
Math
Scripted incremental lessons; the daily script tells the parent what to present. Worldview-neutral.
Computer-delivered and self-grading. The program teaches and grades, so parent prep approaches zero.
