A coordinator's answer isn't automatic. Here is what College Board's guidance says.
Issue 23 put the AP exam ordering deadline on the calendar and named the lead-time problem underneath it: a homeschooled student can't order an AP Exam directly, and a school's AP coordinator has to place the order. This issue covers what College Board's own homeschool testing guidance says about whether a coordinator's answer depends on the school, and what a family does with a no. Plus the Christmas-planning half of Issue 23's advice, which is Every Homeschool's own suggested timeline (this issue cites no institutional deadline for it), and the policy dispatch on the federal tax credit's regulations, published October 2.
Issue 23 named two deadlines and put them on the calendar: the College Board's November 13 AP exam ordering cutoff, and the start of Christmas-season planning. Issue 24 gave a family a checkpoint for the nine-week quarter in between. This issue covers the first of those two deadlines from the side…

The first nine weeks are almost over. Review them before the calendar compresses.
Issue 23 put two deadlines on the calendar, AP exam ordering and the start of Christmas-season planning, that a family now has to actively manage. This issue covers the one that arrives whether a family manages it or not: the close of the first nine-week quarter, the natural checkpoint for comparing the term against the goals set back in August, before the two deadlines issue 23 named start competing for the same October hours. Plus the policy dispatch: the federal tax credit's proposed and temporary regulations appeared in the Federal Register on October 2, and what they settle and leave open for homeschool families.
Issue 22 gave a family a method for auditing a week's structure. Issue 23 put two forward deadlines on the calendar, AP exam ordering and the start of Christmas-season planning, for a family to manage deliberately. This issue covers a third deadline that needs no management to arrive: for a family…
Homeschool Rhythm·Quarter Review·Goal Setting·Planning·ESA·Policy - Weekly DispatchSep 28, 2026
The fall rhythm is holding. The next deadlines are already on the calendar.
Issue 22 covered how to audit a whole week once a curriculum swap and a co-op have each cleared their own window. This issue covers what follows a clean audit: the shift from stabilizing the current term to the deadlines already approaching, with the AP exam ordering date of November 13 and the start of the Christmas-season planning window as two that can arrive unplanned. Plus the policy dispatch, checked fresh this week, with Treasury's end-of-September target for the federal tax credit's proposed regulations now inside its final days.
Issue 22 gave a family a plain audit for the week as a whole. A family that has run it, and either fixed a mismatch or confirmed a week that works, has a stable term. That stability is also the point at which the next set of deadlines becomes visible, and two of them can arrive later than planned.…
