What "welcoming" means

A college marked Welcoming publishes explicit homeschool admissions guidance, actively includes homeschool applicants in its recruitment communications, and has a reliable track record of admitting homeschool applicants year over year.

Test policy as of April 2026

Several Ivy+ colleges returned to requiring the SAT or ACT in 2025 (Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Brown, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, UPenn). Most top privates and public flagships remain test-optional through at least fall 2026 admissions.
